Kendrick vs Drake
Since the beef has ended between Kendrick, Drake and J. Cole. We are going to provide the whole beef timeline. We will not mention any of the other rappers who participated in the beef but J Cole, because J Cole plays a small role in it. We are going to talk mainly about Drake and Kendrick, because there were lots of moments where the 2 of them have alleged each other for stuff you don’t want your children to hear about.
Let’s start from the very beginning. 2011 Drake was already a big artist. And was trying to put different rappers on. He found Kendrick and gave him a chance. Letting him feature on his album ‘Take Care’ and give him a feature on Kendrick’s album ‘good kid, m.A.A.d city’. 2013 in the song ‘ CONTROL FT Kendrick Lamar’. Kendrick dissed Drake when he was asked about it he denied there was any beef.

From 2013 to 2023 they dropped songs where they sneak dissed each other ( Sneak dissing is dissing a person without mentioning their name) Until later in 2023 ‘First Person Shooter FT J Cole’ was released. J Cole mentions in this song that Drake, Kendrick Lamar and J Cole are the top 3 of the rap industry. Well Kendrick Lamar did not like that. He went to hop on a song with Future and Metro Boomin ‘ Like That’ In that song he says ‘ Motherf*ck the big 3 n*gga, it’s just big me’ Meaning that there is no big 3 only big Kendrick Lamar. He mentions ‘Prince outlived Mike Jack’ Drake claims that he is the Michael Jackson of this era. Kendrick claims that he is prince and he basically says that he is going to outlive Drake. Kendrick also mentions ‘ Fore all your dogs getting buried, That’s a K with all these nines, he gon see pet semetary’ He says Drake and J Cole are going to get buried it also means the Drake album he dropped in 2023 ‘ For All The Dogs ‘. J Cole responded with ‘7 Minute Drill’ He says that all of Kendricks work is bad and not worth mentioning. Later on he apologies for it. And from here J Cole is out of the picture and it is only Drake vs Kendrick.
Drake vs Kendrick
The first official diss tracks are ‘Push Ups’ and ‘ Taylor Made Freestyle ‘ What he says in these songs are that Kendrick is small and a little b*tch and he says ‘ Wtf is this a 20v1 N*gga’ All the rappers who participated in in this beef were all against Drake. Drake also mentions that Kendrick dropped 50% of his earning to his label. Kendrick responds with ‘Euphoria’ and ‘6:16 in LA’ In these songs he mentions that Drake is a manipulator and that he is not a real black guy Drake says he is. Drake drops ‘Family Matters’ Where he is accusing Kendrick of domestic abuse and that one of the children from Kendrick was from Dave Free (Dave Free is Kendricks Manager) And not even 20 minutes later. Kendrick drops ‘Meet The Grahams’. That is the surname of drake and his family. Kendrick accuses drake in the song of sex trafficking, sexual predation and fathering a secret child. The following day Kendrick drops another song ‘Not Like Us’ He accuses Drake of being a pedophile and making the charts with Not Like Us. And at last Drake responds with ‘The Heart Part 6’. Denying everything Kendrick says and telling Kendrick the information about the secret child was all false information send by Drake’s team. He also says that Kendrick only accuses Drake of heavy stuff, because Kendrick experienced it himself in his life.
Summary
The beef has ended for a while and it was a hot topic in 2024. Maybe even the hottest topic. While a lot of people say Kendrick won. All lot of what he said hasn’t been confirmed. This beef was a good boost for the rap industry. And a lot of people liked it because it was between 2 of the greatest rappers. I don’t think something will happen anytime soon, because everyone in the rap industry has love for each other and don’t really want to bring each other down. The question to why Kendrick really wanted to bring Drake down still stands. Because everything Kendrick said did not really hurt Drake. And what Drake said was not that heavy.
